SBD strengthens global ties through EU Projects and International Collaboration

The SBD team is committed to establishing an international presence through active participation in EU-funded projects and cross-border collaborations. Over the past few months, we have travelled extensively, forging valuable partnerships and sharing expertise at prominent urban planning and smart cities events across Europe.

Recent Highlights:

In Paris, we joined the URBACT Innovation Transfer Network, contributing to discussions on urban innovation.

November:
In Oviedo, Spain, we presented our Digital Twin and spoke about our Sustainability Challenges on a panel session while attending the CEDAES National Congress of Business Areas, accompanied by Aidan Blighe, Director of Planning and Economic Development at Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council who also made a presentation and was part of a panel session on Public and Private partnerships in Business Parks. In return, Pablo García-Vigón González, President of the Federation of Business Areas of Asturias, joined our International Panel at last month’s SBD Innovation Summit.

In Lille, France, we attended the latest meeting of the IB Green project and participated in the IB Green midterm conference, promoting our sustainability initiatives and discussing the status of the Civic Park on Corrig Road and the importance of delivering this before 31st December 2026.

December:
In Helsinki, Finland, we joined our partners and suppliers for a very important phase of the Circular PSP Horizon project and a deep dive study visit for the URBACT “REinventing Culture in Urban Places” project.
